Former HHS Cyber Security Director Convicted on Numerous Child Porn Charges

It is astonishing at the staggering number of high-ranking officials in the federal government who have (child) pornography addictions. We don’t hear about them, because it would make the government look bad, and the purpose of most of the media is to make the government look like the moral and righteous savior.

You’ll hear about some pervert in your neighborhood downloading child porn and getting nabbed for it, and that’s supposed to make us cheer for the authorities. And it should, but the media never make nearly as much of a deal out of federal or state officials doing the same thing. They try to keep it hush-hush as much as possible.

The Daily Caller reported on one such official who used to work in the Department of Health and Human Services:

Former acting director of cyber security for the Department of Health and Human Services Timothy DeFoggi was convicted for a myriad of gruesome child pornography charges Tuesday, the Department of Justice announced.

DeFoggi, who had top security clearance in his capacity as cyber security director, first joined the child pornography website PedoBook in March 2012. The Omaha World-Herald reported that he was arrested in April of last year, when law enforcement officials serving a search warrant found him downloading child pornography in his home.

In addition to viewing and soliciting child pornography, reportedly asking another member of the site whether he’d share pictures of his son, he suggested meeting a fellow pedophile in person to violently rape and murder children together.

The trial lasted just four days, with jury deliberation taking only two hours. Sentencing is scheduled for Nov. 7, 2014.

PedoBook’s founder, Aaron McGrath, was sentenced to 20 years in prison last year. So far seven users of the site, including DeFoggi, have been convicted.

DOJ Attorney Keith Becker explained that the site, prior to being shut down by the FBI in December 2012, had specific forums for discussion of babies, prepubescent boys, girls and teens. DeFoggi was active on forums discussing the rape of young children.

TheWashington Timesreported a couple years ago on the exorbitant amounts of internet pornography, much of it child porn, being downloaded on government employees’ computers, specifically those employed by the Pentagon, the U.S. State Department, the Immigration and Customs Enforcement, the Transportation Security Administration (no surprise there) and the Missile Defense Agency. There was even an employee that was found to be viewing this trash up to 8 hours a day. And he wasn’t just any employee. He was a senior official. In fact, this has been a major problem among senior officials in these departments.

It was reported a few years ago that there were over 5,000 Pentagon employees downloading porn, including child porn. There was an “investigation” that resulted in the prosecution of a couple hundred or so employees, but because of “lack of funding and resources,” they halted the investigation. Lack of funding? So they’d rather use taxpayer money to pay employees to view pornography, and instead of sacking everybody involved, they let the vast majority of them “get off” scot-free?

This is the caliber of people we have working in our civil government. When liberals rant and rave about “austerity measures” and how they’ll destroy the economy, just think of all the government positions that could be easily eliminated by firing certified porn-viewers. If we did that, we’d probably have the national debt paid off and have a surplus.
